If you are ready to remove or exchange your breast implants, Dr. Panicha Hemvipat (Pam), Board-certified Plastic Surgeon, plans a removal approach around your reasons, your anatomy and your goals. Removal-only, capsulectomy, en-bloc or explant with a lift are all discussed at consultation. Individual cases vary and outcomes are never guaranteed.

Simple Implant Removal

Removal of the implant on its own, without taking out the surrounding capsule. Often suitable when the capsule is thin and healthy. Suitability is assessed case by case.

Capsulectomy & En-Bloc

Removal of the implant together with some or all of the scar-tissue capsule around it. En-bloc removes implant and capsule as one unit where the tissue allows. Feasibility is confirmed during surgery.

Implant Exchange

Removing your current implants and placing new ones in the same procedure. An option if you want to change size, shape or implant type rather than remove permanently. Choices are reviewed at consultation.

Explant With Lift

Combining implant removal with a breast lift to reposition tissue after the implant is out. Considered when skin laxity is a concern. Whether a lift suits you is decided at assessment.

Symptom-Led Consultation

If you are considering removal because of discomfort, capsular tightening or general symptoms, your consultation starts with listening. Dr. Panicha reviews your history before discussing any surgical option.

Tummy Tuck for Men FAQ: Abdominoplasty, Recovery & Results

What is the difference between simple removal, capsulectomy and en-bloc?

Simple removal takes out the implant only. Capsulectomy removes the implant along with some or all of the surrounding scar-tissue capsule. En-bloc aims to remove the implant and its capsule together as a single unit where the tissue allows. Which approach suits you depends on your anatomy and reasons for removal, and is discussed with Dr. Panicha at consultation.

Should I replace my implants or remove them permanently?

That is a personal decision, and both paths are valid. Some people choose an implant exchange to change size or type, while others prefer removal-only. Dr. Panicha will walk you through what each option involves for your case. There is no single right answer and no pressure to decide on the day.

Will I need a breast lift after removal?

Not everyone does. Whether a lift is worth combining with removal depends on skin laxity and your own goals, and it is assessed at consultation rather than assumed. If a lift is not suitable or wanted, removal can be performed on its own.

How long will I need to stay in Bangkok as a fly-in patient?

Plan for around 10 to 14 days in Bangkok for explant surgery and initial recovery, so your surgeon can review healing and remove any drains or sutures before you travel. We can help coordinate your surgical schedule and suggest nearby recovery accommodation. English-language aftercare instructions and WhatsApp follow-up are provided. Timelines are conservative and vary by case.

How much does breast implant removal cost at Menscape Bangkok?

Every explant is different, so pricing is quoted case by case depending on the approach, such as removal-only, capsulectomy, en-bloc or explant with a lift. A detailed written quote covering surgeon, anaesthesia, hospital facility and follow-up is provided after a physical assessment of your case.

What is recovery like after explant surgery?

Recovery varies between individuals. Many people rest with limited arm movement for the first one to two weeks and wear a compression garment for several weeks. Temporary drains may be used. Your surgeon gives you conservative, case-specific timelines and English-language aftercare guidance. Outcomes are never guaranteed.

Who performs the surgery and where?

Your explant is performed by Dr. Panicha Hemvipat (Pam), Board-certified Plastic Surgeon, in an accredited-hospital operating theatre under general anaesthesia, with a full surgical and anaesthetic team present. Consultation, planning and follow-up are handled through Menscape Clinic in Bangkok.

Can international patients have breast implant removal here?

Yes. We regularly support patients flying into Bangkok. We help coordinate your schedule, provide English-language consultations and aftercare, and can recommend recovery accommodation nearby. Plan your stay around the surgery and initial follow-up rather than a fixed number of days, as recovery pace varies.
