What to know before removal

Both methods are safe and routine, but proper aftercare protects the result. Here's what's normal and what to watch for.

  • Mild redness or scab at the site for 5-10 days
  • Slight pinkness fading over 4-8 weeks
  • Brief stinging during the local anaesthetic

Don't pick the scab. Apply the prescribed ointment 2× daily, avoid sun exposure for 4 weeks (use SPF 50+). Atypical-looking lesions are sent for histology — results in 5-7 days.
